Product Description

Thymosin Alpha-1 also called thymalfasin, is a synthetic form of an endogenous N-acetylated 28-residue peptide studied as an immune-response modifier. Randomized studies have evaluated it in specific infectious-disease, sepsis, and oncology settings, but results from those products and populations do not establish broad “immune boosting” effects or equivalence of this 10 mg research vial. FDA has approved no drug product containing thymosin alpha-1 in the United States and identifies unresolved characterization, peptide-impurity, aggregation, and immunogenicity questions for compounded forms.
